The HelixSphere Drive System is Born
HelixSphere Technologies is a publicly traded company (stock symbol HLIX) developing products to maximize human power through its revolutionary innovation in propulsion technology - THE HELIXSPHERE DRIVE SYSTEM.

The invention of the wheel accelerated mankind's evolutionary course. We believe the HelixSphere Drive System is the next stage in this evolution. This proprietary drive system generates greater delivery of power and requires less effort; eliminating the inefficient transfer of energy associated with traditional designs of the past. The drive resembles the principles upon which a child’s spinning top is operated. The linear stroke along a shaft translates the linear travel into rotational movement.

HelixSphere's Wheelchair enables the user to propel forward and backward with a facilitated and efficient push/pull motion of the arms. This application of the Company's drive system provides wheelchair users with more power, safer ergonomic motion and a significantly higher degree of control and mobility. HelixSphere is poised to revolutionize the wheelchair industry by providing an alternative to the conventional hand rim wheelchair drive system.

HelixSphere's Bicycle dramatically showcases a revolutionary application of the drive system technology. As with the spinning top analogy, the helix drive system creates a seamless fusion of natural body motions with the motion of the machine. In addition to providing more power with less effort, this technology also eliminates the requirement for the chain and sprockets of today's bicycle.

HelixSphere's Watercraft will allow users to comfortably and efficiently propel a pedal boat through the water with their arms or legs. The mechanical thrust will be applied with a straight push of the legs or a straight push/pull of the arms and upper body.

We didn't want to re-invent the wheel, we wanted to change the relationship between the human body and the wheel.

Q. How could a mechanical process be designed to better utilize the natural strengths of the human body?
A. By using the simpler, direct linear movement of a push and pull, instead of a complex and weaker rotational movement: the HelixSphere drive as opposed to the rotational drive.

HelixSphere is currently developing the latest generation of prototypes. Proof-of-concept models have demonstrated the viability of the drive system, and the design and engineering efforts are focused on pre-production prototype development. Final design, mechanical and user-ergonomic testing will follow.
